Fish Charters

We are growing our business at Ocean Star Charters. We now offer day charters out of Vancouver from September through to May. Fishing and cruising tours through the Great Bear Rainforest in June and late August, and fishing charters out of Prince Rupert in July and August.

Ocean Star Charters is available for Salmon fishing charters in the waters just minutes from Vancouver. Departing from Ladner or Steveston daily, we will be fishing the world famous Fraser River and areas throughout the Gulf of Georgia. Imagine, just a short 20 minutes from the dock and your lines will be in the water. The Salmon fishing in September and October is fantastic. Chinook (Kings) and Coho (Silvers) are holding off in the gulf of Georgia waiting for the fall rains before they start their migration up the rivers. We have been in the fishing charter business for 14 years and have great guides and professional service. We offer 5 - 10 hour charters. Prices vary depending on the number of people. We offer charters throughout British Columbia starting in June of each year.

The MV “Ocean Star” serves as a mother ship for Salmon & Halibut fishing charters on the northwest coast of British Columbia near Prince Rupert, B.C.  This gives us the advantage of being able to move to different locations throughout the fishing area during your Salmon and Halibut fishing adventure.  It also offers you a chance to live, and experience life on the water. There is no wasted time running long distances to be where the fish are. We go where the fish are!

The “Ocean Star” is a 72 foot live aboard vessel that has been restored for the charter business.  Originally a commercial fishing vessel, it now serves as our home away from home and accommodation for our guests to enjoy.  Although the Ocean Star was a commercial fishing vessel, it now serves as our mother ship only.  Our guests fish on one of our three boats, along with a guide.  The fishing boats are pictured throughout the website.  All are fully equipped and Transport Canada approve for your safety and enjoyment.
